Our Mission is to create a completely new world that centres around the knowledge of Musical Nutrients and the value of music and creativity. In that world musical systems and natural systems combine to formulate unique and powerful experiences for therapy, wellness and artistic performance.
Julene Siddique is a Composer and Artistic Director who has been deeply involved in creative therapies for over a 15 years. She trained in America in Neurologic Music Therapy and Trauma-Informed Expressive Art Therapy. She also holds a Masters from SOAS, University of London in Music and Development, which also included musical healing traditions in cultural context.
As a recognised thought leader with a deep desire to impact, Julene Co-Chaired research committees with The World Academy of Art and Science and UN Office Geneva to compile a global reference on Arts and Health. She also worked with MindTech developing best practices in digital mental health.
Through deep research, professional commitment, and personal praxis she created the Musical Nutrition Method to enable a fuller range of musical benefits to become available to more people and work more meaningfully with the cutting-edge technologies that we have today. Joining forces with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Julene brought the Musical Nutrition system to life.
Musical Nutrition is a method which works across Therapies, Wellness and Musical Performance. The 4 categories of Musical Ingredients are Mind – Brain – Body – Social.
It uses a multidisciplinary approach. Recognising the multidimensional nature of mental health and human behaviour, we’ve cross-pollinated knowledge across neurology of music, music and cognition, somatics, trauma informed practice and performance praxis. We’ve brought together the best of evidence-based methods including clinical, therapeutic, neurological, cognitive, sensory, social and interdisciplinary frameworks within The Musical Nutrition Method.
Musical Nutrition is underpinned by behavioural, creative, sensory-perceptional, developmental, and educational theory and research. In order to bridge the theory to practice, we apply evidence-based principles that enrich the human experience. Working with state of the art sensory, sound and immersive technologies, we combine our cross-disciplinary approach with purpose-driven tech. Our unique approach enables us to craft unique experiences which have both scientific rigor and artistic depth.
Creative therapies remain underutilised, and standards can often differ greatly from place to place. Our goal is for Musical Nutrition to give you only the best methods (or “Musical Nutrients” as we like to call them!) and deliver these with the highest quality care. Our vision is a world where all mental and neurological conditions can be competently and caringly supported through Musical Nutrition and where more people discover the benefits of music for moving them from recovery to health, from surviving to thriving. We believe music is a key ingredient for not only health but unlocking human potential.
