Peter sighed as he couldn’t believe it was already the sixth week of training at the Joyful Childhood School on Planet Harmony. All of a sudden, Peter saw a huge magical Giraffe in the centre of his room, so tall that it hardly fit in the room, scraping the ceiling with his head.

“Now that was a surprise!” Said Peter.

“Greetings, Peter!” A voice came from somewhere above him. “Today I am bringing you your new musical health gift. You look surprised? What, you didn’t expect to see me?”

“I confess, I did not expect you!” Said Peter,

“Are you ready for new exercises?” Winked the Giraffe,

“Yes, ready!”  Peter answered confidently. He was becoming so fond of these classes that he could not imagine his life without them. “I’m here to teach you several qualities: beautiful posture, coordination, and, perhaps, the most important thing – dignity –  respect for yourself and for the people around you!” The Giraffe said proudly.

“Before starting my class, it would be best to measure your height in order to understand how my exercises might affect it.” The Giraffe continued. Peter measured his height, and the Giraffe song began to play.

Read the fairytale.

This is giraffe. Move like a giraffe. Move your neck long, and feel this song.

His long neck turns, respect he earns. The golden neck, of my giraffe.

At that moment – Viola, the daughter of music appeared to reveal another musical secret. “Today we will perform the sixth magic of music – The Magic of Musical Movement. Allow me to turn on the Giraffe song again. Now let’s see if you can not only depict the movements of the Giraffe but also come up with a dance for him.”

Music began to play and Peter suddenly transformed into a giraffe. He felt himself moving so beautifully through his whole body and felt his long neck and strong hooves that stomped the ground. He made an applause with his hooves and then there was the sound of the bell. Viola congratulated Peter on the sixth magic of music – The Magic of Musical Movement.

That evening, feeling inspired by the Giraffe class, Peter decided to check his height. He was sure that he had became taller after experiencing the long-poised posture of the Giraffe. You wouldn’t believe his surprise when it turned out that he was a whole centimetre lower! Peter was very upset and decided to measure his height again in the morning. It turned out that his growth recovered, and even slightly increased.

Completely confused, Peter decided to ask his parents about this. His parents explained that our torsos hold their shape due to our spine. During the day, the spine decreases slightly in size from the pressures of walking. But at night, when we sleep, the spine straightens again and restores its height. This was a real discovery for Peter, he immediately called his friends and shared this with them.

And of course, his collection of animal costumes was growing, and now he added a drawing of a Giraffe costume – the longest and tallest of them all.
